Wild Weeds and Mushrooms Adventure: Explore, Learn, and Taste!

Join us at Farm of the Free for an exciting adventure into the world of wild weeds and mushrooms! Take a leisurely stroll through the farm sanctuary as we uncover the edible and medicinal secrets of local plants and mushrooms. After our explorations, we'll enjoy some wild snacks and even create our own natural keepsake to take home.

Don't forget to bring along your basket, notebook, hat, insect repellent, and a water bottle. Dress comfortably in good walking shoes and pants, especially if we wander through any dense brush.

Our host for this event is the amazing Anne-Marie Bilella, also known as the Forager Chick at Bella Vista Farm in Georgia. She is certified as an herbalist, wild mushroom forager, seller, and instructor for the Wild Mushroom Safety Course with Mushroom Mountain. Anne-Marie creates her own products with her Forager Chick line and teaches homesteaders and preppers about herbal medicine, medicinal mushrooms, and wild plant identification in person and online at the forager-chicks.teachable.com school. She is a homesteader, author of "Wild Eating with the Forager Chicks" and "Forager Chick's Wild Mushroom Journal," a writer for her own blog, and has contributed articles to Aroma Culture Magazine, Homesteaders of America, and Mother Earth News.
