Despite witnessing the loss of every member of her previous flock night after night to predators, Phoenix remains one of the sweetest, friendliest, and most curious hens we’ve ever met.

Trinity has always been a tough and resilient lady. Her vocal, curious, and strong-willed personality has kept her at the top of the pecking order.

Iris is a quiet, gentle soul with remarkable inner strength. n the safety of her enclosure and in the company of her flock, she enjoys the simple pleasures that bring chickens joy, scratching through the dirt, sunbathing, dust bathing, and freely roaming her surroundings.

Radtkey has consistently shown himself to be a true gentleman, kind, thoughtful, and deeply committed to protecting his flock. Radtkey has made it his life’s mission to be their loyal sentinel.

Ember is a beautiful blend of cautious and curious. Sometimes she chooses to explore on her own, scavenging for treats and enjoying solo adventures. Other times, you’ll find her with the flock, doing what every chicken should have the chance to do: scratching, foraging, dust bathing, and sunning herself in safety.

During the day, you can often spot Ruby enjoying life’s simple pleasures, scratching at the ground, pecking for treats, basking in the sun, and dust bathing. At night, she usually roosts close to her pal, Ember, in a fully secure, predator-protected coop.

Today, Mario lives in a busy flock with three hens. He’s taken on the role of guardian, watching for danger and even foraging treats to share with his flock. He enjoys sunbathing, dust bathing, and spending his days immersed in the simple joys of sanctuary life.

Leena is the most strong-willed of all the hens here at FOTF. She’s extremely expressive and always makes her presence known. During snack time, she’s usually the one clucking persistently until she gets her treat!

Emily enjoys foraging around her enclosure, searching for blueberries, figs, and other tasty treats, with Azteca never far behind. They dust bathe and sunbathe together, and at night, Azteca always gives her the top roost.

Azteca has taken it upon himself to look after her, keeping a watchful eye for any danger and even foraging and sharing the treats he finds. He loves sunbathing, dust bathing, and each night, he lets Emily take the top roost in their coop.

You will never meet a sheep sweeter than Sammie! She loves getting attention from her human friends and will sometimes try to “hug” you by climbing into your lap!

Now that Nellie is older, she has become quite a sassy little sheep! Sometimes she will charge at her herd mates and even our caregivers!

If you let her, she will lean all her weight on you while you love on her, and if you stop she will “paw” at the ground and keep pushing toward you to keep going. Other days she just enjoys relaxing with her newfound herd!

Since then, Pippin has become somewhat of an icon at FOTF. He has definitely taken a leadership role within his herd of sheep and one other goat.

Duke also loves attention from human friends too. One of his most unique quirks is holding a hoof up to us to let us know he wants it scratched, and if you don’t show him the attention he’s asking for he may just start nibbling on your clothing!

Once shy, Belinda is now the top hen in her flock, a confident and independent leader who earns the respect of those around her.

Known for her bravery and curiosity, Integrity is the social butterfly of her group.

Sublime is an active and inquisitive girl. She’s often seen exploring, pecking, and scratching the ground, always investigating new sights and sounds.

Poppy is the most reserved of her flock. She’s a sweet yet strong-willed hen who doesn’t tolerate anything that makes her uncomfortable.

Philly takes his role as protector of his four hen companions very seriously. He closely follows anyone who enters their enclosure to ensure his flock is safe.

Serenity is calm, brave, but also feisty, and curious. Occasionally, you might catch her playing with her Reina, a rare and beautiful sight.

Meet Dave, a gentle soul, and watches over his sisters proudly.

DJ can be found following Theo around in Paddock Paradise, and while he is still wary of people, particularly newcomers, it warms our hearts to see how far he has come since being at Farm of the Free.

Although Theo is typically standoffish to newcomers, he has definitely come a long way with us! In fact, he is the more social one than our other resident donkey, Danny Jo.

On a typical day for him, he can be seen lounging in a shady area or cooling off next to a fan during those hot summer days.
