Roxanne

Roxanne (Katahdin breed) was rescued from a sheep dairy farm. She is an extraordinary mother who quickly became the matriarch of the herd. Unfortunately, she lost her baby, who was auctioned off. She tragically lost her second newborn, Peace, from congenital issues.

Despite the heartbreak, she keeps a parental eye on Nellie Jane, who has also become quite attached to her. With our caregivers, Roxanne has days where she is very loving and will follow you around for pets.

If you let her, she will lean all her weight on you while you love on her, and if you stop she will “paw” at the ground and keep pushing toward you to keep going. Other days she just enjoys relaxing with her newfound herd!
