Phoenix the Cow, born in safety at Farm of the Free

Phoenix was born in 2024, shortly after his mother Dani was rescued. His story began before he was even born. His mother was part of a group of 10 cows rescued from slaughter. Because she was saved, Phoenix was born into safety.

Phoenix is growing up at Farm of the Free, where he will never be raised for meat like many Angus cows. He is curious and outgoing. He loves attention and enjoys a good scratch, but like a cat, he can get overstimulated and let you know when he’s had enough.

Phoenix is starting to find his place in the herd and is becoming bolder each day. He still stays close to his mom, and Dani is always watching out for him. Phoenix’s life is just beginning, and it is already full of safety, care, and love.
