Sampson is a baby doll breed of sheep who was in a rehoming situation.
Here at FOTF, he fits right in and has thrived since 2021!
On a typical day for him, he can be seen lounging in a shady area or cooling off next to a fan during those hot summer days.
Due to his breed, Sampson is a pretty big boy. He is the biggest in his herd, but that doesn’t stop him from sometimes playing “chase” with his friends and occasionally with our caregivers!
Baby doll sheep are intentionally bred to overproduce wool for mass consumption in the textile industry. This overproducing is detrimental to their health and well-being, so Sampson must be sheared twice per year. His wool is donated to nature so that the birds can make their nests with.
