Flocktoberfest 2025 was a 🎃 pumpkin-smashing success!

We set out to raise $4,500, and attendees donated a whopping $8,000! Our goal was to raise our monthly membership donations, and we did just that! Flocktoberfest is to honor our monthly members, welcome new ones, and educate the community about what we do at the sanctuary. Most importantly, it was to raise funds for our 33 residents and ensure they have the financial support to live out their daily lives happy and healthy. 

Flocktoberfest was a wonderful day of delicious vegan food, all graciously donated by Calaveritas, Flour & Time, Loving Hut, The Hungry Herbivore, Dulce Vegan, The Vegan Sweetie, Jamie's Cookie Dough, Dare Cheese, Sevananda, Earth Fare Athens, and Beyond Meat. 

We also had an array of prizes for our guests to raffle off, all courtesy of Only You Tattoo, Heart Space Holistic, Miss Meatless Muscle, High Country Outfitters, Cinnaholic, Trace of Insight, ReKINDle, Avid Book Shop, Crazy Rumors, Wanda Burton Animal Art, Sneha Rao Art, and of course, Vegan Cabin Stay in Ellijay.

We were so excited when Jenna Kanell confirmed she could join us, and boy did she ever come through! Jenna was such a trooper and generously gave her time, plus agreed to an interview with our board treasurer, Brett Morgan, while eating vegan spicy wings, Hot Ones style — then also agreed to do “the last dab” in an ice bath 🥶!
