Welcome, Hank!

We are thrilled to announce that Farm of the Free has welcomed home a new species! This is Hank the Kunekune Pig!

Hank is 3 years old. He suffered a dog attack when he was younger and was left without ears and deaf. He comes to us malnourished, so we have a big job ahead of us in addition to building his enclosure. It’s heart warming to know that in the week that Hank has been at Farm of the Free, he has been adjusting well, and we can see he has a sweet spirit. 

Meet Hank this Saturday at either our Volunteer and Potluck Day from 11am-3pm, or our Open Barn and Free Sanctuary Tour from 3-5pm. Be sure to RSVP so we can let Hank know you’re coming! 

Hank was an emergency rescue, and we are incurring expenses we had not anticipated. We have started a special fundraising campaign to help with building his permanent enclosure (he will be ready to move out of quarantine on October 20!), and to pay for his medical and food supplies.
