🐮 Feed the Herd. Keep Them Warm. When winter arrives, the grass at Farm of the Free stops growing, leaving our residents fully dependent on fresh hay to be trucked in for survival. All the grass in the pastures goes dormant in the winter. We see this ourselves throughout Georgia. We set out to raise $4,500, and attendees donated a whopping $8,000! Our goal was to raise our monthly membership donations, and we did just that! Flocktoberfest is to honor our monthly members, welcome new ones, and educate the community about what we do at the sanctuary.
